After studying photography at the Reitveld Academy of Art in Amsterdam, and while continuing to develop as a fine art photographer, I worked as a photojournalist, publishing in the leading Dutch magazines and newspapers.

Relocating to LA, I continued in fine art photography, exhibited in solo and group shows, and was published in several magazine and books. An educational filmstrip series I produced, wrote and photographed for Prentice-Hall won 1st prize at the US International Industrial Film Festival.

Later, to support myself and my daughter, I established an event photography business, shooting philanthropic functions, corporate meetings, high-end weddings, celebrity events and everything in-between. Clients included Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, Barbara Lazaroff and Wolfgang Puck, George Lucas, Norman Lear, Carole Bayer-Sager and Robert Daly, Alan and Cindy Horn, Haim Saban and Jimmy Iovine. I also covered such events as The Reagan Presidential Library Opening, The Democratic Nominating Convention (as personal photographer for Joe Lieberman), The Grammys, The LA Opera Opening, His Holiness The Dalai Lama's 50th birthday party and The Liz Taylor Cirque du Soleil Aids Benefit.

Now, things have come full circle and I am able to pursue, with great fervor, my first love – fine art photography.
